Side y side it’s also essential to protect it from various types of outside threads with any types of Router Firewall Software are available.

In computing, a firewall is a network security system that monitors and controls incoming and outgoing network traffic based on predetermined security rules. A firewall typically establishes a barrier between a trusted internal network and untrusted external network, such as the Internet. With this Network Firewall we get End to Endpoint protection from spy.

Mainly Firewalls are Two Types : 1. Hardware Firewall

2. Software Firewall.

At first I describe about Installation of a Router and after that see the next process…

Normally when you buy a Router their technicians are installed the router or many of us install by him to the help of user manual instruction. So I don’t waste the time to explain the assemble process of Router. Just jump to next step of Firewall part of this.

Open a browser window and log into your router’s administrative console by typing in the routers IP address. Your router is likely to have what is known as a non-routable internal IP address such as 192.168.1.1 or 10.0.0.1 as it’s address.

The following list is some of the default IP addresses based on my research and may not be accurate for your specific make or model:

Linksys – 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1

Apple – 10.0.1.1

Netgear – 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.0.227

DLink – 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1

ASUS – 192.168.1.1

Buffalo – 192.168.11.1

After done this just find an option in the same page is name “SPI Firewall“, “Firewall“, or something similar. You should see an “enable” button next to the entry. Once you’ve enabled it, you’ll have to click the “Save” button and then the “Apply” button to commit the change. Once you click apply, your router will likely state that it is going to reboot in order to apply the settings.

After you’ve enabled the firewall, you’ll need to configure it and add firewall rules and access control lists to meet your connectivity and security needs. Check out our article: Best Practices for Managing Your Network Firewall for an in-depth look at how you might want to configure your firewall rules.

When all its done, it just need a “test Firewall” to ensure all have perfectly done.

In the Software Part it’s very simple to done. If you’re connecting your computer directly to the Internet, it’s important to use a software firewall – you shouldn’t have to worry about this now that a firewall comes with Windows by default.

In the Advantage side of Software Firewall – A hardware firewall sits between your computer and the Internet, while a software firewall sits between your computer and the network. If other computers on your network become infected, the software firewall can protect your computer from them.

In the Advantage side of Hardware Firewall – Hardware firewalls can provide centralized network management. If you run a large network, you can easily configure the firewall’s settings from a single device. This also prevents users from changing them on their computers.
